Kasilof River

The Kasilof River begins at the outlet of Tustamena Lake and flows outwards some 15 miles to Cook Inlet. The Kasilof is located on the Western side of the Kenai Peninsula.

We offer full day trips on this drift only river for some fantastic tidewater fishing opportunities for early run Chinook Salmon. The first run kings of the Kasilof average about 15-25 pounds with the occasional 40 pounder. Departure times for Kasilof trips vary depending on tide times. There is a 2 person minimum for all Kasilof River trips. The meeting place for Kasilof River trips is the Kasilof River State Campground, boat launch and day use area, which is off of the first left hand turn (Spetz Rd.) after crossing the Sterling Hwy. bridge over the Kasilof River.
