Cooper Landing is the best spot on the Kenai Peninsula to set up your base camp. Set in the beautiful Kenai mountains and spread out along the banks of the world famous Upper Kenai River, it is the most enchanting little mountain hamlet you will ever see! We have some of the best hiking trails in the area, awesome fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities, all other Kenai Peninsula attractions are short day trips away, and you can come back from each day of your adventure to the peaceful feeling of small town Alaska.

Rental Cars are available at ANC. The Homer Stage Line is a shuttle service that can take you from Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula with stops in Seward, Cooper Landing, Soldotna/Kenai, and Homer. Check out the Alaska Railroad for awesome trips by train. RV rentals in Anchorage are available from ABC Motorhome rentals , Great Alaskan Holidays and Clippership RV. Before driving to your destination, you can check out driving conditions and road information for the enitre state at the Alaska Road Traveler Information Service.
By Air: Main air travel brings you into Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) in Anchorage, AK. From there you can fly to Kenai Municipal Airport, or book a local air service to fly you just about anywhere in the state on a small plane. Airlines: Alaska Air, Frontier, Continental, Delta
By Land: If you plan on driving to Alaska, we highly recommend you pick up a copy of The Milepost. Also be aware of identification requirements to cross the border into Canada.
By Sea: The Alaska Marine Highway Ferry system cruises the inside passage from Bellingham Washington and also cross-gulf from Juneau/Haines to Whitter. You can also use the ferry to get to Kodiak, Seldovia, and the Aleutians. There are also several cruise operators that have Alaska on their destinations list.
